Inventory Owners can authorize themselves as the Supplier for loading refined fuels at a ONEOK refined fuels terminal
What is a Self Authorization?
- A Supplier Authorization that allows an Inventory Owner to authorize themselves as the Supplier for loading
- Self Authorizations can be set up by either location or product type.
- Extended Loading - a Swift+ feature - is managed within the Self Authorizations screen.
What are the types of Self Authorizations?
Base Products: Single refined product components that require inventory and authorization for use in blend-type authorizations.
Custom Products: Configured products where all components are owned by the same Inventory Owner or sourced from a Supplier’s accessible inventory. This ensures correct fulfillment and prevents mixing from multiple sources.
Supplier Directed Blends: Blended products where components can come from multiple Inventory Owners. A Supplier sets up this authorization to pull base products from different sources as needed.
Note: Setting up all custom products under Supplier Directed Blends provides flexibility in ownership, allowing for ownership of all components, some components, or no ownership within the custom blend. Products should be configured as supplier-directed blend type unless all components are owned outright, ensuring proper sequencing and the ability to load.
